The quick answer
A 28-day rental renews every four weeks, not on the same date of each calendar month. Ask for the first-cycle total, each renewal amount, final removal fee, and the action that stops billing. Compare the complete time you expect to need the unit.
See the full math in a call example
One construction caller received these historical figures: $247.20 for the first 28 days, $205 for each later four-week period, and $29 for removal. Weekly cleaning was included. Two periods plus collection would therefore be $247.20 + $205 + $29 = $481.20, before any taxes or other charges not established by the call.
Three periods plus removal would be $247.20 + $205 + $205 + $29 = $686.20 on the same limited assumptions. These amounts illustrate the arithmetic of that historical quote; they are not current Allen prices or advertised offers.
Keep “monthly” precise
Four weeks is 28 days. For a project that spans calendar months, record the actual renewal dates in your schedule. Ask the rental team to spell out whether a quoted “month” means a 28-day cycle or a calendar month. Do not guess from informal wording in a phone conversation.
Compare service frequency with the price
A lower amount may describe a different service plan. In another historical call, a lightly used property was quoted $199 per month with once-monthly cleaning, plus $73 initial delivery. That is not equivalent to a busy construction rental with weekly service. Compare unit type, use pattern, cleaning, delivery, pickup, and taxes together.
Know what happens when the project changes
Contact the team before an extension, additional service visit, relocation, or change of address. Ask whether the revised arrangement affects the next renewal. If the project ends early, request collection and confirm whether any refund applies; early pickup does not automatically establish a refund.
Stop billing deliberately
Tell the team when you are ready for pickup and get the collection date and billing stop point confirmed. Leave access open even if your crew has left. A unit behind a newly locked gate cannot simply be assumed collected or cancelled.
Before delivery, cancellations more than 24 hours ahead qualify for a full refund; cancellations within 24 hours are nonrefundable. Read rental terms and use the cost guide to prepare an apples-to-apples quote request.
