Compare the whole rental, not only the first payment
Using the historical construction example, two 28-day periods plus removal would be $247.20 + $205 + $29 = $481.20, before any taxes or other charges not established by that call. The first-cycle price alone would not describe the cost of that 56-day rental.
For the light-use property example, $199 rental + $73 delivery = $272 for the first month. It included a less frequent, custom service schedule, so it should not be compared directly with a weekly-serviced construction unit.
Ask for these line items
- Equipment type, quantity, and the exact rental dates or billing cycle.
- Delivery, setup, pickup or removal, and any location-related charge.
- Included cleaning visits and supplies, plus the price of additional visits.
- Applicable tax and any fuel, environmental, rush, weekend, or access charge.
- Payment timing, deposits or holds if any, extension terms, and damage responsibilities.

One day, one weekend, or 28 days?
A short event is often quoted as an arrangement with delivery before use and collection afterward. Ongoing site rentals commonly use 28-day cycles. Ask for the correct rental type instead of assuming that a one-day event must pay an ongoing monthly charge or that “monthly” means a calendar month.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled delivery to receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery are nonrefundable.
If a payment was placed on hold when you reserved the unit, released funds may take a few days to appear in your account. Contact the rental team to confirm that your cancellation has been received.
